We are sending these little pocket-sized miracles Ukrainian medics have asked for.
One of my friends that is a medic asked if I could find these gold and silver mylar thermal blankets and so I did. Once again, I will use some of our advertising funds so everyone here is participating and the guys will know they came from you.
He told me they will save lives.
These mylar blankets are silver on one side and gold on the other. When the gold side faces out, these blankets can maintain 90% of the body temperature and help prevent chills and shock. When the silver side faces out, these blankets will reflect the heat during the summer months and keep the body cool.
They will also help our guys be more identifiable for pick up and transit but that is a 2-edged sword. Prayers will also be needed.
Usually I just send money to our volunteer friends in western Ukraine and they give me a choice to buy what the guys are asking for. Last time back in October it was drones or gloves so we pitched in $300 for drones. I don’t often speak about it but considering the increased level of disrespect permeating from this website recently, I hoped keeping everyone informed of what we can do if we work together, it might help us too.
As a reminder, when you send packages to Ukraine you should make sure they are under 4kg each and claim less than 100 Euros each to get through Customs easier and without paying. If they are over, there is a 100% tariff. This time we are sending 120 blankets, they are 1.33m x 2.14m. I will try to send another batch next month.

At any rate, I am extremely pleased that our efforts on here are at least helping Ukraine directly, even a little bit, besides the moral and informational aspects. Thank you, Red.
Having said that, I want you to know that I will not relent to fight against Taco and his insane measures to destroy our once great nation, and his efforts to cut our friendship with the free world to pieces.
I don’t have the exact figures from 2022 but thanks to you guys we raised over $1,200 for the Ukrainian Salvation Army and I think we pitched in another $300 then.
In 2023 it was $800, about half of it for the Salvation Army through our fundraiser but Reddit stopped letting me post directly from our website because, they said, they couldn’t verify our fundraiser even though I gave them the Salvation Army permits.
2024 and 2025 viewership plummeted because we chased away about half of our audience instead of persuading them. Keep in mind, Trump deserves criticism, but the “MAGA:” and the dems have very similar support levels for Ukraine. You can look it up in many polls. Who would frequent a site that calls you a nazi and wants your whole family to die painfully?
Still, we had around $600 leftover both in 24 and 25 to give to our volunteer friend Olya and her soldier hubby. I do not accept any money from this website, it goes to bills and UAF in the name of our website. Isn’t that what evil people do? 😉
Red, could you clarify how you attribute our anti-Trump opinions to the decline in viewership? Have you ever questioned those individuals about the reason for their departure? And what political affiliation they have?
I heard from other sites that interest in the war had unfortunately waned. There are upticks when major events are taking place.
For my part, I would enjoy things more on here if it were feasible to contribute more positively to many matters that are impacting us, but, needless to say, I cannot influence these events. I would have to be God.

I’m doing very well, thank you. Here is the info you were looking for. I spent some time doing a quick audit of a few weeks in autumn 2024. There are just a few examples from you Sir Facts and they aren’t very bad but still add context to my point. You can see the main division and loss of Readers comes from Scradge. Again, this is just a few weeks and I just looked at you and him. I am trying to mend things but part of mending is identifying the problem first. There is quite a bit so I will open a new comment to make room. Hopefully this will help us get through insults, even those questioning other’s mental state.
I think we lost readers because of the restrictive comment section, not allowing unregistered people to comment, like f.e. on Disqus. But yes, there may had been too much focus on US politics, even when unrelated to Ukraine. I for myself applaud anything good coming to Ukraine, in particular from the US, but will not be silent when some are trying to fuck with Ukraine or her allies. Thanks for organizing these blankets, they are very important for injured people during winter, to be kept warm until paramedics and transport arrive. 👏🇺🇦👍

That’s not true. For example:
No, multiple comments to the “Trump is ready to unblock aid” post were definitely deleted – including a reply to your “Hey my comment was removed.” comment in which I wrote, “Some of my comments were removed also, вert. And now new ones aren’t showing up if I’m logged in.”
I commented, saw the comment, then later it was gone. I then reposted it without signing in, saw the comment, and this morning it’s also gone.

There’s certainly a restriction on comments. Anything containing the sequence ‘b’, ‘e’, ‘r’, ‘t’ doesn’t show up for me. (Just confirmed again with a test post.) I don’t know if it’s true for all normal (i.e., non-priviliged) users, or just me.
That’s why, in my previous comment I wrote “вert” – using the Cyrillic letter rather than “B”.
It’s a really annoying restriction, as I’ve written long posts, only to not have them show up because they included the name “Roьerts”, or the word “liьerty”. (The latter one is pretty ironic…)

I have been blocked a number of times; Sir Focusser fixed it for me.

There has been no comment blocking. I’m sure F1 could verify that. It sounds like you are very quick to blame others for what is most likely your problem. Besides, if there was, the comment would be up for approval and either of us would do it. If it wasn’t done, the comment would still be there.
I assure you, it’s not my problem. It’s the problem of someone who can’t face facts, and deletes posts and blocks people when presented with facts they didn’t like.

Thanks Mike. There has never been any restrictions on commenters, with either version of this site as far as I know. I can take another look or perhaps Sir Focusser could, but maybe we should try another version, what do you think? It could be better or worse.

Leave it as is for now. A while ago i dived into that Disqus plug-in for WP, turned out it would be linked to a Disqus account then, which is not free of charge. So we can forget about that for now.
There has never been any restrictions on comments. I will go through them again but I doubt anything has changed. The only one that might still be valid could be if you’re following this site or something but that’s not really a restriction, most site require accounts anyway. Disqus was/is the same way and had mods too. You hated them Mike.
