According to him, the restrictions immediately repel “everyone who approaches us.”

US presidential candidate Donald Trump said he is not a supporter of restrictions, commenting on the possibility of easing sanctions against Russia.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Trump was asked whether his likely “deal” to end the war in Ukraine would involve easing sanctions against Russia and dictator Vladimir Putin. The politician responded by saying that he does not like sanctions.

“With sanctions we push away everyone who comes close to us. That’s why I don’t like sanctions. I thought they were very useful with Iran, but with Iran I didn’t even need sanctions that much,” he said.

Let us recall that during his first term, Donald Trump stated that he was not considering the possibility of easing sanctions against Russia. He also imposed sanctions against the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.

Other Trump Statements on Ukraine and War

As UNIAN reported, US presidential candidate Donald Trump said that during his first term he convinced Russian dictator Vladimir Putin never to attack Ukraine .

“Putin and I got along very well, we had a good relationship. We were never threatened with war. He would never go into Ukraine. I said, ‘Never, never go into Ukraine,'” Trump said in an interview with Bloomberg.

    • What occurred from 2016 to 2020 ln Ukraine, when Trump was last ln office?

lt’s been long years, and death, since the 2022 invasion, has lt not????

    • Biden’s a paid Russian S&&%&ll. Almost 900 days of war and what has Biden done for us?????? he’s limited range weapons, spare parts, told us not to attack Russia with those weapons.

      The sky will fall 1st.

What needs to happen ls, Zelensky needs to make a decision for Ukraine’s future and better to ask for forgiveness, than permission, and take out the Kerch Bridge.

      That would destroy Putin

  1. I see Larry’s comments being blocked again. Sorry, will be back once this shit is over, if ever…

    • “Larry’s comments being blocked again”

Who would be doing that? I remember when someone here said, “If you can’t defeat the facts, defeat the messenger, right? You are much like putin.”

  2. And Putin didn’t push for Kyiv after taking Crimea, when Obama and Biden were ln office.

Bloomberg, fails to state, lt was Biden who took the Trump sanctions off for Putin, which allowed Putin to finance his war, and start the invasion ln 2020

    • “took the Trump sanctions off for Putin, which allowed Putin to finance his war”

Sorry, what exactly are you talking about? Although he was opposed to it, President Biden waived sanctions on Nord Stream 2 AG and its CEO, Matthias Warnig, in an attempt to rebuild ties with Germany, after relations deteriorated under trumpkov.

But Nord Stream 2 was never completed. (And after Russia began deploying troops to the Ukrainian border, President Biden and Chancellor Scholz worked together to stop it, and President Biden imposed the sanctions on Nord Stream 2 AG and its corporate officers.)

Since, as Sir RSM pointed out, “NS2 never pumped a molecule”, putler didn’t finance anything from that. So it’s not at all clear what you could be referring to.

It’s a fact that President Biden imposed hundreds *more* sanctions on russia.

“Biden’s Russia sanctions have now gone further and are more sweeping than any previous administration’s.”

      • Germany wanted heat etc and Putin couldn’t sell lt to them…..due to Trump sanctions. Biden removed them, as soon as he took office, enabling Putin to earn his war money ln 2021, and attack ln 2022

Nord Stream 2: Trump approves sanctions on Russia gas pipeline

        • OK, so it appears that you *are* referring to the Nord Stream 2 sanctions. But you haven’t explained how removing sanctions on it “allowed Putin to finance his war”, given that Nord Stream 2 was never completed, how did that help finance anything?

If anything, it was a drain on finances – allowing him to spend money on something that never produced any ROI.

        • “you haven’t explained how removing sanctions on it “allowed Putin to finance his war”, given that Nord Stream 2 was never completed, how did that help finance anything?”

          So, Bo, no go?

  3. lt’s been almost 900 days of war and you westerners still don’t realize Biden has been the wolf ln sheep’s clothing.

No wonder places ln the commonwealth are falling apart, America ls under invasion from every inmate ln the hemisphere, and Putin was allowed by America to not only invade Crimea ln 2014, but invade again ln 2022.
