Russian terrorist forces attacked the building of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, as well as a number of civilian targets across the country. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy released a video documenting the incident on Monday, September 28.

Zelenskyy noted that a rescue operation is currently underway at the site of the russian attack on the Academy of Sciences building. According to him, all necessary emergency services are involved in searching for people and extinguishing the fire. 

“Today, a pharmaceutical company and gas stations were attacked in Kyiv; a business center was targeted in Dnipro; and civilian facilities, businesses, and communications infrastructure were also struck in other cities and regions. Unfortunately, there have been fatalities… My condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims. Russia will certainly face a response for this,” – the head of state emphasized.

“The aggressor must face the consequences and be held accountable for its acts of terror.” – Zelenskyy stressed.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 28, a russian UAV struck the building of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in central Kyiv. A fire broke out in the building following the strike.
