Yet again, Trump has proven we need to be concerned about his policy stance towards Ukraine.
🎤 “Look at what’s happening in Ukraine. They’re surging into Russia. You’re going to have World War 3,” Trump said this week.
Rather than clearly supporting Ukraine as it takes back the initiative in the war and presents a major military and political dilemma to Russia, he warns about the risks of escalation.
❗And this is despite the fact that Moscow has allowed Ukraine and the West to cross one supposed “red line” after another, including invading its own territory recently.
Ultimately, this proves yet again that Trump has no policy towards Ukraine.
❔ Would he abandon Ukraine?
❔ Would he continue Biden’s policy of drip-feed support?
❔ Would he provide overwhelming support to allow Ukraine to win?
There have been signals of all these possibilities from him and his party. However, in the end, we don’t know, because above all Trump doesn’t know, and more worrying, Trump doesn’t care.
For such a critical foreign policy issue with generational implications, which is determinant of the international order and the US’s place in the world, its appalling that a presidential candidate has no stated position on the war nor a realistic policy response.
All we are left with is fear-mongering and pandering to a domestic audience to win an election.

🙏 The entire “Maybe Trump will support Ukraine…” narrative is just hopium and copium,
A #propaganda attempt to distract US voters from one of the Orange Man’s least popular points:
His open support for the russian dictator Putin.
Reply from Mark McNamee:
At a very bare minimum, we know he doesn’t have a problem based on principle with autocracies or Putin specifically as a leader. And because of that, we should worry about his policy towards Ukraine and the war.

Luckily, Harris has a definite fighting chance to win the White House.
