According to Mike Johnson, during a conversation with Zelensky, he learned that Kyiv still has not received the promised weapons from the United States.

The White House still does not fulfill its obligations to provide assistance to Ukraine to counter Russia. Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson stated this in a commentary on Fox News .

He said Republicans are putting pressure on the White House every day “to get answers to critical questions that the American people have, and we need to know.”

“We must know the strategy, the final point, how Ukraine can get out of this conflict. Why did the White House not provide the critical weapons systems that were requested and necessary to confront Russia?” – said Johnson.

He noted that on the eve of Christmas he met with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, and he said that Kyiv still has not received the weapons systems that it requested from the United States.

“In other words, the White House does not provide the minimum necessary support, while asking for more and more billions. Well, let him first do what he did not do,” summed up the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

      • But, it seems like Johnson is doing what he can to follow Trump’s wishes, and paralyzing our government in the process.

        • Helping our friends fight for independence shouldn’t even be a bargaining chip, imo. That’s on the GOP for sure. But anyone that tells you THEY KNOW what Trump’s plans or future policies on Ukraine is lying to you. If there ever was an unpredictable politician it would be Trump. He showered Vladolf with compliments and legitimacy and then fucked him with sanctions, drilled oil and gas, shut down NS2. So, those conflicted can be enlightened by the results rather than the political rhetoric.

          • I’m the first person to admit that I have no idea what a Trump presidency will mean, for us and for Ukraine. All I can do is what everyone is left to do, examine and draw conclusions over what he says. I do know that he’s very unpredictable. But, as I’ve stated before, I don’t like such extreme unpredictability. I also don’t like the talk he’s been talking.
Give me something tangible to grasp on to, Red, to take away the guessing, doubts, disgust, and confusion from me.

            • I don’t know either. Sometimes Trump intends to get a long with a genocidal maniac and then he criticizes sleepy Joe for not sending enough weapons to end this thing.

              • I wish. I see Biden as the smaller of two evils. His lethargy and stinginess in sending military aid to Ukraine isn’t the best of concepts for a war of this magnitude.

          • NS2 wasn’t shut down by Trump. His sanctions were also weak and not targeting German companies. The sanctions were too late, too little.

Biden not pressing Germany after this is unforgivable too, don’t get me wrong.
But both didn’t do much to stop the pipe.

      • As I just commented above, President Biden *has* delivered what he promised. The post is lying about what Mike Johnson said. If you watch the interview, Johnson never said that Biden promised the things Ukraine requested but didn’t receive.

  1. “He noted that on the eve of Christmas he met with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, and he said that Kyiv still has not received the weapons systems that it requested from the United States.”

Ukraine requested a lot of systems from the US, some have been turned down as not needed. That doesn’t mean to say Ukraine haven’t received everything the WH promised.

  2. Trying to distract attention from the fact that he is blocking aid to Ukraine that was requested by President Biden and agreed to by the U.S. Senate.
