On the night of March 10, a powerful fire broke out on a gas pipeline near the village of Lykhma in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug in Russia, Russian Telegram channels write when publishing a video.

It is noted that, according to local residents, the fire occurred several hours ago near the village of Lykhma.

“The glow from the fire and a column of smoke were visible several kilometers from the scene of the incident. At the moment, the causes of the fire and information about the victims are being clarified. Emergency Ministry employees and doctors rushed to the scene,” one of the messages says.

Later, the Russian Federation stated that the gas pipeline breakthrough occurred “due to wear of the pipes” underground, at a depth of about two meters, the diameter of the damaged pipeline was 1.4 m.
