The President stressed that Ukraine needs serious security guarantees.

Russia’s strong desire for Ukraine not to become a member of NATO coincides with the vision of the United States and some European countries.
This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at a press conference in Turkey.
He stressed that Ukraine must know from whom to really expect security guarantees, who is capable of giving them and who will actually provide them.
“This is not only about goodwill, but also about the strength of the country. These guarantees are needed to ensure that there is no chance of a repeat of this terrible war. And not because we are afraid of the Russian army, that it will occupy us, but because in any war there will be victims again, a large number of victims. And we do not want this,” Zelensky emphasized.
He stressed that today Europe, NATO countries and the United States could provide Ukraine with this hope, faith in strong security guarantees, faith that Ukraine will become a member of NATO.
“But we don’t hear such support from the US today. We know that they and several other European partners do not support our membership in NATO. I believe that Russia’s great desire coincides with this result,” Zelensky said.
At the same time, the president added that there are security guarantees that can be in effect – a strong Ukrainian army and the possible presence of troops from other European countries, the USA. According to him, it is too early to talk about the results in this matter, but this issue should be discussed.
