Hodges said it had a “very significant impact.”

Ukraine must escalate its strikes against Russia’s oil and gas infrastructure , Ben Hodges, former commander of the United States in Europe and a retired general, told Ukrinform .
In his opinion, Washington’s attempts to deter Kyiv from such actions are misguided. “Ukraine must escalate its strikes against Russian oil and gas infrastructure. This is clearly having a very significant effect. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be hearing all this pressure from the Kremlin on the White House to stop this. Of course, it’s having a huge effect,” Hodges emphasized.
He is convinced that even if the US refrains from supporting such tactics, its European partners will recognize the critical importance of Ukraine’s success. Thus, the general hopes that European countries will find ways to support Ukraine’s efforts to resist the aggressor.
Energy truce
Commenting on US President Donald Trump’s statements about an “energy truce” between Ukraine and Russia, Hodges called them “fantasies” that are not based on real facts and do not take into account the interests of the parties.
“This was a classic Trump-style announcement of something unfounded by any facts. And, of course, it would have been a terrible agreement in any case. Russia never honors any agreements unless forced to do so. President Zelenskyy has repeatedly proposed a ceasefire, and Russia has refused. Therefore, I believe that the fact that the US President is proposing a ‘fantasy’ ceasefire should not deceive anyone, and no one should be deceived,” the general emphasized.

This is hard to believe, but MAGA Mike has just said the reason for high diesel prices is because of the situation in Hormuz.
He’s probably getting cold feet in the face of serious defeat in November, so telling the truth is the thing to do (for once).
Yeah. If the Dems take over Congress, he’s out on his arse.
