Today’s Russian missile attack is a preparation for negotiations aimed at Ukraine’s capitulation.

This was stated by a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, former company commander of the Aidar battalion Yevgeny Dyky on air on Radio NV. According to him, the missile and drone attacks on Ukraine indicate that the Russians are preparing for negotiations. He added that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump mean Ukraine’s capitulation by negotiations. “They believe that negotiations are our acceptance of all of Russia’s conditions, supported by Trump. This is called capitulation, and they are preparing us for such negotiations with their missile attacks. There is no talk of any compromises, because in their view, a compromise is when we accept all of Russia’s conditions. And Trump tells us for this: “Well done. Now give me the mineral wealth too.” This is the compromise that Putin and Trump agreed on. And then the question is whether we will go for it. I hope not,” Dyky said.

He noted that US aid was stopped precisely when the Ukrainian Defense Forces began to counterattack the enemy. “We live in a new reality – if before January 20, 2025 (Trump’s inauguration day – UNIAN) we had a very powerful, but too cautious ally – the United States, which did not want our victory, but wanted to stop Putin, then since January 20 the situation is exactly the opposite – Washington now has an ally of Putin, who, together with him, wants to squeeze us until Putin wins,” Dyky emphasized.

According to him, Trump has essentially already saved the Russian dictator from defeat, because not only has the situation at the front begun to change in our favor, but there are also serious problems in the Russian economy. He believes that if the previous level of US support for Ukraine had continued, Russia would have had the resources for about a year of war.

“At this point, Trump appears and throws a life preserver to Putin. Now the US president wants to give Putin a victory, that is, “bend” us so that we accept Putin’s conditions, which the Russian army could not knock out of us for 3 years. Unfortunately, the situation is such that we are now on two fronts,” said Dikiy.

The expert called Trump’s decision to stop deliveries from the US of even those weapons that Biden did not have time to deliver a stab in the back. At the same time, Dikiy added that this happened at the very moment when the Defense Forces switched from a deep defense to counterattacks in some areas of the front.

Commenting on one of the plans of the European partners to cease fire in the air and at sea by both sides for a month, Dyky noted that this would primarily be in the interests of the Russian Federation. According to him, the Ukrainian energy sector suffers from the strikes, but we have already learned to cope with this.

At the same time, he added that strikes on Russian refineries and oil depots are much more effective than sanctions from allies. “Budanov’s sanctions, which are arriving in “sanction packages” on refineries, are having an effect. Over the course of a year, we have already put about 1/5 of Russia’s oil refining to rest,” the expert noted.

Dyky admitted that in this regard there is also interest for Ukraine, because for every bomb that lands on the Russians, there are more than 20 KABs that the Russian Federation drops. “The Russians have a fairly significant advantage in the air. Therefore, such a truce would make sense for us. But it can be assumed that Russia will not agree to such a format. The Russians will not agree to any intermediate formats that do not provide for our direct capitulation,” Dyky emphasized.

Missile strike on Ukraine

The Ukrainian Air Force notes that today Russian occupation forces attacked Ukraine with Kalibr missiles from the Black Sea and also launched bombers into the air.

The Chairman of the Ternopil Regional State Administration reported on arrivals at a critical industrial facility. He warned that there could be restrictions on gas supply.

The enemy also hit infrastructure facilities in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

The mayor of Kharkov reports that in addition to the critical infrastructure building and the residential building, other objects were damaged in the city; 10 garages and 5 cars are on fire.

The enemy also attacked the Odessa region with attack drones, preliminarily of the “Shahed-136” type. Energy and civil infrastructure facilities were hit – at least 10 private houses in the suburbs of Odessa were damaged and destroyed. Due to the attack, more than two and a half thousand local residents were left without electricity.
