After failing to receive the Nobel Peace Prize, US President Donald Trump thanked Russian dictator Vladimir Putin for his complimentary words.
He published the post on his social network Truth Social, Censor.NET reports .
“Thank you President Putin!” the US leader wrote, posting a video with the Kremlin leader.
In the video, dictator Putin said he didn’t know if Trump deserved the award, but at the same time added that he was “doing a lot of real work” to resolve “complex crises” that have lasted for years and decades, in particular mentioning the settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
“There was a case when the Nobel Committee awarded the prize to those who had done nothing for the world. This damaged the authority of the prize. Therefore, the authority has been largely lost. But whether the current US president is worthy or not of the Nobel Peace Prize — I don’t know, but he really does a lot,” he said.
