The politician admitted that he was surprised when he was charged.
Donald Trump has compared the administration of President Joe Biden to the secret police of Nazi Germany. The statement came as he talked about his legal troubles, attacking prosecutors and bemoaning the recent indictments.
“These people are running a Gestapo administration,” NBC News quoted Trump as saying . “And that’s the only thing they have. And that’s the only way they think they can win.”
“As soon as I was indicted, I said, ‘Well, now we have to take the gloves off,'” Trump added, declaring that Biden is “the worst president in the history of our country. He is blatantly incompetent. He’s crooked as hell. He is a Manchurian candidate, he accepts huge sums of money from China, from Russia, from Ukraine and many other countries. He’s a fraud.”
The former president added that he doesn’t let his legal troubles bother him too much.
“If you worry too much, you tend to suffocate. And I don’t care in a way. It’s just, you know, life is life,” he said.
However, he admitted that he was surprised when he was charged.
He also called Jack Smith, the special counsel leading the two federal cases against Trump, a “vicious thug” and “deranged.”
