During Operation Vivaldi, the Third Army Corps destroyed a pipeline that supplied 50% of Russian troops’ diesel fuel needs in the Luhansk region.

A spokesperson for the corps told Militarnyi that the pipeline ran from the Voronezh region to the temporarily occupied Luhansk region.

“It supplied about 50% of the enemy’s daily diesel fuel needs. Both the headquarters and Brigadier General Andriy Biletsky were tasked with shutting down this pipeline,” the corps spokesperson said.

The military struck the starting and ending points of the fuel supply, as well as the enemy fuel tankers themselves.

“This forced the Russians to completely shut down the facility’s operations,” the military said.

The destruction of the pipeline triggered a logistical crisis for the entire enemy Zapad military group.

Now, Russian fuel tankers are forced to travel a 400-kilometer route to obtain fuel directly from the Russian Federation. The commander of the Third Army Corps, Andriy Biletsky, had previously noted this step while summarizing the results of the first season of Operation Vivaldi:

“Another important task was to cut off the enemy’s logistics. As a result of our actions, the enemy was forced to move its fuel and lubricant supplies across the state border — to the Voronezh region.”

Due to an acute fuel shortage on the front lines, the invaders are unable to refuel generators used to charge drone batteries, and enemy electronic warfare systems are operating in an extremely limited capacity.

“This has severely complicated the supply of frontline units, and combined with strikes on field depots at the formation and army levels in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region, we were able to deal a critical blow to the enemy, thereby triggering a crisis directly on the front lines,” the intelligence officer added.

As part of the second phase of the Vivaldi offensive operation, the 3rd Army Corps liberated the villages of Shandryholove and Derylove in Donetsk region and established full control over Drobyshev. In total, 125 km² of territory was returned to Ukrainian control, 50 km² of which was de-occupied.
