At the same time, Ukraine will not be forced de jure to abandon this aspiration.
At talks in Florida on November 30, the US and Ukraine discussed a scenario in which Kyiv would abandon its plans to join NATO, CNN reported , citing its sources.

“According to a CNN source, negotiators are now discussing a possible scenario in which Ukraine would effectively be barred from joining the Alliance as a result of agreements to be negotiated directly between NATO member states and Moscow,” the publication writes.
At the same time, Ukraine will not be forced to officially, de jure, abandon this aspiration, the agency’s interlocutor emphasized.
However, if the United States reaches an agreement with Russia on a bilateral basis, or if Russia wants to receive some guarantees from NATO on a multilateral basis, then Ukraine will not be involved in the decision-making process.
At the same time, a final decision has not yet been made and will ultimately be made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the source emphasized in an interview with CNN.
Overall, the agency’s source stated that the talks were a “step forward” and “based on the progress achieved in Geneva.”
“It would be very premature to say that we’ve made a final decision here, as much remains to be done. But the meeting was very substantive, and the most problematic aspects of the peace proposals were discussed in detail,” he added.
Negotiations on a peace agreement
According to the Wall Street Journal, the talks included discussions on the possible timing of new elections in Ukraine and the prospect of a territorial swap between Russia and Ukraine. However, other important issues remained unresolved , including the nature of security guarantees for Ukraine from the US and the West.
According to media reports, Ukraine and the United States are maintaining ongoing dialogue on a peace agreement, but the location of a new round of negotiations has not yet been determined. Kyiv insists on a personal meeting between Presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump.

There can only be one reason why the putinaZi genocide gang wants Ukraine out of Nato : it wants to unleash another holocaust at a time of its choosing.
However, Nato is almost as unreliable as Krasnov, so Ukraine MUST be given cast iron security guarantees.
And sanctions must be increased exponentially on the cauldron of devilry until it ceases to be a nazi genocide dictatorship.
Sadly I don’t believe there is, in reality, something that is an iron clad security guarantee. When the proverbial hits the fan, do you really believe all the countries providing such guarantees will stand and be counted? No Sir. If history has shown us anything, Ukraine needs to think that it’s on its own, which has been the reality in Ukrainian history. Build a world class economy with a world class military. Don’t get duped into giving up anything or committing to something because of guarantees. We know by our own experience what a guarantee is worth…absolutely nothing.
Tend to agree. Europe does in fact have the capability to defend Ukraine, but it shows no sign of the determination and commitment to do so.
This despite the undeniable fact that the U.S. is now an adversary of both Europe and Ukraine.
Given the fecklessness of Ukraine’s “allies”, it seems almost certain for them now to have to give a load of land to Nazi vermin.
Ukraine will need to spend more than 50% of its GDP, or $150m/yr on its armed forces going forward. It will need a land army of 1.5m + to survive, as well as a modern airforce.
It will have to become a super-manufacturer of long range fires, drones, artillery and ammo.
It will need to develop its own nuclear deterrent too.
NATO might as well disband now that mafia land have a veto who can join and who can’t.
