The Air Force reported a threat of a ballistic missile strike on the city.
Russian occupation forces launched a missile attack on the Dnieper River this morning, causing casualties. Acting head of the Dnipropetrovsk Special Operations Department, Vladislav Gaivanenko, reported this on Telegram.
“This morning, the enemy launched a missile attack on the Dnieper. Three people are currently known to have died, and eight more are injured. The rescue operation is ongoing… All services are on the scene,” he said .
Gaivanenko added that, according to preliminary information, a service station and a plant were damaged.
The official later reported that the number of casualties had risen to 15. Three of them are receiving outpatient treatment, while the rest are hospitalized. Six of the injured are in serious condition.
Updated at 2:33 PM. The enemy attack left four people dead and 40 injured, Gaivanenko said .
“There are currently 40 injured in Dnipro. Most are in hospitals. Unfortunately, 11 of the wounded are in serious condition. Four people have died,” the official said.
According to him, search and rescue operations have been completed.
Updated at 1:02 PM . According to Gaivanenko, the death toll has risen to four, and the number of injured to 22.
Earlier it was reported that three people were killed and eight were injured.
At 10:10 a.m., the Ukrainian Air Force reported a threat of ballistic missile use from Taganrog (Russia), and then called on residents of Dnipro to take cover.
