The troops of the Russian occupation army continue intensive assault operations in the Zaporizhia direction. However, their advance towards Hulyaipol remains unsuccessful, as Ukrainian fighters hold the defense and do not allow the enemy into the city.
This was announced on TV by the spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces Vladislav Voloshyn. He noted that the operational situation in the Hulyaipol area remains tense.
“The situation is quite difficult, the enemy does not stop assault operations, is trying to push back the Defense Forces of Ukraine, but there is no enemy in Hulyaipol itself. It is stopped and blocked on the approaches to this settlement,” the spokesman noted.
Despite constant attacks, the occupiers fail to break through. The Ukrainian Armed Forces stop the Russian army on the approaches to the city and successfully restrain the enemy’s advance.
In addition, Ukrainian military personnel are conducting search and destroy operations to detect Russian groups trying to infiltrate the city. There are no fighting inside Hulyaipol itself.
“The Defense Forces of Ukraine are conducting countermeasures against enemy attacks, search and strike operations are underway to identify groups trying to infiltrate this settlement. Therefore, there are no combat clashes in Hulyaipol itself. The enemy has not entered this settlement,” the Defense Forces spokesman said in a statement.
Earlier, OBOZ.UA reported that Ukrainian defenders from the ranks of the 37th separate marine brigade cleared the village of Ivanivka, Dnipropetrovsk region, and its southern outskirts. As a result of the search and destroy actions of the marines, 53 Russian occupiers were eliminated. Another 19 invaders were captured.
We also recall that the situation in the Donetsk region remains very difficult. However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are courageously holding the defense and not allowing the enemy to advance. In particular, the military told what is happening in Myrnograd (Pokrovsky direction). It is noted that in the city, Ukrainian units are holding defensive lines and eliminating the enemy on the approaches to the city.
