The pan riot did not help: in the Russian Federation, the movement of mobilized wives was recognized as a foreign agent

The movement itself says that they have no funding at all, let alone from abroad.

The Russian authorities recognized the movement of the wives of the mobilized “Way Home” as a foreign agent. The leading activist of the movement, Maria Andreeva, received the same status, according to the website of the Russian Ministry of Justice.

“The Way Home” activists regularly appeal to the authorities and hold peaceful protests demanding the return of their loved ones from the war. Since they cannot obtain permission for a regular protest rally, women organize “hybrid” actions, for example, coming to war memorials and laying flowers, dressed in “protest” clothes – a white scarf.

One of the strangest “protest” actions was the “ saucepan riot ”. The idea was to go out onto the balcony of your apartment, or simply go to the open window and start drumming on an empty pan with a spoon. This is how the activists tried to show that there are many of them throughout the country.

According to Russian laws, the status of a foreign agent is assigned to organizations and individuals who receive funding from abroad. But the “Way Home” movement claims that, in principle, they have no funding.

“What’s next? Mobilized and contract soldiers who complain about the lack of payments and uniforms will become foreign agents?” – activists are outraged.

  1. My own little protest/prayer is playing the national anthem of Ukraine every day at noon on the piano. This started in Kyiv when Vladolf initially invaded but his invasion couldn’t stop the musical protest from a patriot with a violin.
