The European Union plans to prepare a new operation to ensure the safety of commercial shipping in the Red Sea .
Politico writes about this with reference to a document from the European External Action Service, to which journalists gained access. According to the information received, the EU must plan an operation that will operate from the Red Sea to the Persian Gulf. It could start as early as the end of February.
Anonymous European diplomats told reporters that the plan will be discussed next week at a meeting of the European Union’s international affairs and security committee.
It is not yet known which countries will provide the warships mentioned in the plan. There are also doubts about the support of Spain, which has previously opposed plans to use the existing Operation Atalanta in the Red Sea.

The best way to ensure safety of the Red Sea is to destroy the supplier of weapons to the goat fuckers.
Exactly. It doesn’t make sense to destroy some mercenaries in Yemen. Iran doesn’t care about them and replaces them with new ones in a few days.
I am pretty sure they will continue to target cargo vessels very soon.
They will need to hit Iranian factories, command posts, administrative buildings, some palaces of their dictator,
vessel that export weapons to Russia, Libanon, Gaza and Yemen. I think it won’t be that hard to bleed Iran dry.
The West is only fighting symptoms, not the root cause.
This creates several problems, such as becoming involved in battles of attrition against mercenaries
that do not cost the agressor you are fighting a lot of resources.
The same thing happened in Afghanistan and Vietnam. For example in Vietnam the U.S. lost a lot of men, while the Soviet Union did not as they mostly provided arms to some North Vietnamese mercenaries.
Even though the U.S. is much more powerful than the Soviet Union or Russia, the Americans still get exhausted as they keep fighting proxies instead of the real enemy.
The West can quite easily end all these wars without significant losses only when they choose the right targets instead of some insignificant ones. Bomb the shit out of Teheran and you don’t have to worry about HAMAS in the near future.
Wipe Russia out in Ukraine and the country will collapse almost free of charge. But it takes some courage and knowledge about the conflicts you are involved in.
