Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence says Russia is preparing a new mobilization for this fall — and according to Volodymyr Zelensky, it’s confirmed by Russia’s own internal documents. The timing is deliberate: right after Russia’s imitation parliamentary elections, where every party allowed on the ballot is, one way or another, against peace. Zelensky’s read on the plan is blunt — Putin wants to fake public support for the war, then rapidly mobilize several hundred thousand more Russians by year’s end, and as many again next year, on top of contract recruitment. Betting on more troops and North Korean reinforcements to drag the war out. Ukraine says it’s preparing its own operations to make that as hard to pull off as possible.
