Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal said on Nov. 7 that he would introduce legislation supporting Ukraine, called on Washington to assign new negotiators to peace talks, and urged Congress to impose public interest controls on Starlink and Starshield.

U.S. President Donald “Trump needs new negotiators — not fawning pawns who call this brutal murderer a ‘humanitarian.’ Congress must lead without delay,”  he said in a post to X.

The U.S. has sent special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to trilateral peace talks with Ukraine and Russia, as well as to bilateral meetings, many of which took place in Moscow between the Trump administration and the Kremlin.

In Witkoff’s latest meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Oct. 21, the U.S. envoy praised the Russian leader for the release of U.S. political prisoner Stephen Hubbard.

“You speak so much about how my president, President Trump, is a humanitarian,” Witkoff said. “You, too, are a humanitarian, sir, and I commend you for that. I offer you my respect and thank you once again.”

Hubbard was imprisoned by Russia for over four years before he was released.

Sen. Blumenthal also urged additional measures supporting Ukraine and punishing Russia to bring Putin to the negotiating table.

“A strong pro-Ukraine post-election wind at our back, we must push right away to impose sanctions waived by Trump, stop his despicable diesel deal, provide military aid, particularly air defense — and other measures to show support necessary to bring Putin to serious peace talks,” he said.

Blumenthal’s call to impose public oversight over Starlink and its military counterpart, Starshield, comes after Starshield had been operating at limited capacity in October, hindering Ukraine’s ability to defend itself from deadly Russian jet-powered drones.

Also from the KI, an important debunking of a lying kremkrapper story that has swamped comments pages of western news sites :

The ‘torture chamber’ rumors that sparked a clash near Kyiv, explained

Kyiv Independent

What really happened during the clash at a National Guard facility near Kyiv and how did it become a major disinformation story? The Kyiv Independent’s Francis Farrell and Kateryna Hodunova examine what happened that night, the provocation at the center of the incident, and the role of online misinformation in escalating the situation. They discuss the legal gray areas in Ukraine’s mobilization system, public frustration over forced mobilization, and how Russia exploits these tensions to undermine trust in the Ukrainian military and weaken national unity. They also look at why the incident matters beyond the immediate confrontation and what it reveals about the need for mobilization reform as Ukraine continues to defend itself against Russia’s full-scale invasion.

  1. Sen. Richard Blumenthal is a bloody good bloke: he tried his best for Ukraine, was a frequent visitor and collaborated with the late Sen. Graham, so far to no effect, thanks to the putinaZi pigs still running Kremlin West.

Hopefully his efforts will not now be in vain.

  2. The Krasnov murder gang collaborates with psychopathic Nazis.
Even Krasnov’s wife was roped in to shake hands with Dmitriev, yet another murderous psychopath.
The cokksukka was actually given a lectern inside the WH so he could excrete kremkrapp.
Krasnov has to be arrested and tried for treason, plus a shitload of additional evil criminal activities.

One thing to understand is that Trump is doing all these things, trying to push a terrible deal on Ukraine and Europe, having Kushner propose blowing up the European security order, making Miller chief of staff…out of weakness, not strength. He is running out of time.

And if he doesn’t do what he promised Putin, he might not get paid.

    Well, what can I say?

Once again, I can only express my admiration for the fact that, despite not only the cutoff of 99% of American aid following the arrival of the Trump administration, but also the Pentagon’s subsequent outright sabotage of deliveries of weapons purchased with European money, and the direct collusion between the White House and the Kremlin — the Ukrainian military has not only refused to break, but has continued to fight, held the front line, and kept inflicting defeats on the Russia and striking deep into the Russian rear, against all odds.

Extraordinary heroism and ingenuity — backed by the wisdom of those among our friends who have continued to support the army of the free world.

It seems that over these years, we’ve already said everything we could to the world. We’ve made our arguments, told our stories, and explained their meaning. I’ve honestly caught myself thinking long ago that I’ve grown tired of hearing my own voice in this role.

But that’s an illusion. Every time I work in another country, I meet many people who have simply never heard our message. And if the Bible has been repeating the same truths for millennia, then we, too, must go out and speak to people.

This war has not only a military dimension but also a cognitive one. After all, it was sparked by a specific idea — that russia, as a “God-chosen civilization,” has the right to invade other nations, kill people, erase their identity, abduct children, and re-educate them as russians.
