SBU attacks Vtorovo oil station near Moscow for the second time

SBU drones hit the Vtorovo station, which is an important logistical facility for the supply of petroleum products to the Russian Federation, in particular, it supplies fuel to Moscow.

“Fulfilling the tasks set by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky within the framework of the 40-day operation of influence on the Russian Federation, the Alpha soldiers of the SBU carried out successful strikes on the Vtorovo linear production and dispatching station in the Vladimir region of the Russian Federation,” the report says.

According to preliminary data, the impact fell on the technical buildings of the station, after which a detonation was recorded. The facility provides transportation of diesel fuel to the Moscow Ring Oil Products Pipeline, as well as the supply of oil products to domestic consumers and export through the ports of the Baltic Sea.

“The SBU will continue to conduct special operations at strategic facilities of the Russian Federation that ensure the functioning of its military economy. The enemy must feel the consequences of its aggression not only on the battlefield, but also in its own budget, logistics, and export revenues. Each affected facility means a reduction in resources for waging war and a higher price that the Kremlin is forced to pay for continuing the aggression,” the department noted.

What is known about the affected object?

Vtorovo NPS is an oil pumping (line-production dispatching) station in Russia, in the Vladimir region, which is part of the Transneft main pipeline system.

It is a key logistics hub for pumping light petroleum products to export ports and domestic consumers. It transports diesel fuel to the Moscow Ring Oil Products Pipeline, and from there to large oil depots around Moscow. The station also ensures the supply of petroleum products for export through the ports of the Baltic Sea.
