No war waged by the Soviet Union or modern russia since World War II compares to the devastation of the current war in Ukraine. Yet, the brutality unfolding today is not an aberration; it is the continuation of a century-long pattern of state violence against both foreign nations and russia’s own people.

Under Stalin, millions perished in state-engineered atrocities: the Holodomor famine in Ukraine; the man-made famine in Kazakhstan; mass deportations of entire ethnic groups; executions and torture during the Great Terror; the vast network of Gulag labor camps; and the suppression of cultural and intellectual life through purges and censorship. Stalin’s grand projects, from the White Sea–Baltic Canal to the Moscow–Volga Canal and the Kolyma mines, were built on human bones, with workers dying on site and buried where they fell, all in the name of the state and its leader.

Today, that same logic persists. The kremlin sends its own citizens to die in Ukraine in the name of another autocrat. Thousands of russians are being sacrificed to maintain one man’s power and imperial illusions, while dissent is silenced, propaganda replaces truth, and mass graves once again expand across the land.

Which brings us to the question of collective responsibility again. How many more crematoriums and cemeteries must open before russian society says “enough”? When will the value of human life outweigh fear and obedience in the sake of imperialism?

This is not putin’s war alone. This is russia’s war, sustained by millions who choose compliance over conscience. Russians themselves hold the power to stop it: by refusing to kill, to manufacture weapons, or to finance the machinery of terror.

But as long as they choose silence and complicity, the consequences will follow them for generations: politically, economically, and morally.

Force russia to end the war and bring justice to Ukraine!

The Russians are sufferers – those who suffer…..have suffered for centuries, continue to suffer as a culture and duty to Putin (who is simply taking advantage of the ingrained culture) and will continue to suffer. They are going to die and they know it, as we all do. But they know they will either die through suffering at home or they will die suffering for Putin, and when they chose the latter they have the opportunity to take their disappointment and rage out on those who have not suffered as have they. Is it any wonder that they willingly and proudly commit atrocities, call back home and announce they atrocities to the cheers on the other end of the phone call?

Joseph Conrad did quite well by extrapolating past ruZZian history into the future, and so far he had been proven right over the time span of 105 years, probably longer. Conrad knew ruZZians well having spent his early youth as a Pole under ruZZian occupation:

“The oppressors and the oppressed are all Russians together; and the world is brought once more with the truth of the saying that the tiger cannot change his stripes nor the leopard his spots.” – Joseph Conrad, Under Western Eyes, 1920, the End of the Author’s Note.

The ruZZian propaganda toolkit is particularly unimaginative. Putin & co. stick to it strictly, because they have NO TRUTH TO TELL.

They ALWAYS use the AiM (perfected by Goebbels) & add more LlΣS to it. (From Wikipedia):

“Accusation in a mirror (AiM)[a] is a technique often used in the context of hate speech incitement, where one falsely attributes one’s own motives or intentions to one’s adversaries.[3][4][5] It has been cited, along with dehumanization, as one of the indirect or cloaked forms of incitement to GΣΝ0ClDΣ”.

This, along with the internationally recognized definitions of characterizations of the actions of the Russian military and other institutions that we know about through the media, are further highlighted in the continuation of this comment below. None of those can be attributed to Ukraine other than in Putin’s LlΣS.

The AI explains the ideologies utilized by Putin & co. (some spellings modified for LI), while L¥lNGL¥ attributing them to Ukraine (Czechoslovakia in 1968, Hungary in 1956, etc.).

The following directly applies to ruZZian actions & to their L¥lNG AiM reflections: “FA$Cl$M and NAZl$M are both far-right, totalitarian ideologies characterized by authoritarian rule, extreme nationalism, and the suppression of opposition, but NAZl$M is a specific, more radical form of FA$Cl$M that adds a central doctrine of racial ideology and antisemitism.

While FA$Cl$M prioritizes the state above all else and subordinates the individual to its interests, NAZl$M adds the belief in the supremacy of the “AR¥AN race” and seeks the purification and expansion of this race.” (Just need to substitute the ‘muscovite race’):
