The Russian cargo ship Omsky-107, damaged in an attack near Novorossiysk, ran aground off the Black Sea coast near Istanbul. According to the DHA news agency, the 108-meter Russian-flagged vessel drifted after the attack and ran aground off the coast of Alacali in Şile. Witnesses alerted authorities after seeing the ship moving toward the shore. Coast guard teams arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area, and launched an investigation. DHA reported that the crew abandoned the vessel in lifeboats following the attack. The ship’s bridge was burned and heavily damaged. The report did not specify when the attack took place.
