The draft budget of the Russian Federation for next year envisages spending 6% of GDP on attempts to destroy Ukraine.

Russia plans to increase military spending by a quarter in the 2025 budget. Bloomberg writes about this with reference to the draft of the three-year budget of the Russian Federation, which journalists managed to familiarize themselves with.

Thus, in the Russian budget for next year, “defense” expenditures will amount to 13.2 trillion rubles ($142 billion) against 10.4 trillion rubles in the current year. This is equivalent to 6.2% of GDP. According to Bloomberg calculations based on project data, Russian military spending will make up 5.6% of GDP in 2026 and 5.1% in 2027.

In general, next year, the Kremlin will spend about 40% of the federal budget on the army and other law enforcement agencies. This is more than the combined allocations for education, health care, social policy and economic support.

At the same time, classified items of budget expenditures next year will amount to 12.9 trillion rubles, that is, about 30% of the total estimate.

“The Kremlin continues to increase war spending as its forces slowly advance in eastern Ukraine in a war that Western intelligence agencies estimate has caused hundreds of thousands of Russian casualties,” Bloomberg writes.

At the same time, the documents show that the Russian government expects to reduce the budget deficit next year to 0.5% of GDP by increasing gas and so-called non-oil revenues.

Bloomberg suggests that the projected budget deficit may turn out to be optimistic, based on the experience of the current year. Currently, the government’s budget deficit forecast for 2024 is 1.7% of GDP, although it was planned to be 0.6 percentage points less in June.

Russia is not going to stop the war

As UNIAN wrote, the other day Russia rudely refused to participate in the global peace summit , which Ukraine wants to hold by the end of the year. The Russian Foreign Ministry says it is ready to discuss only the conditions put forward by Putin in June, when he demanded that Ukraine not only recognize the occupied territories as the Russian Federation, but also recognize free territory.

Western observers say Putin is still confident in his ability to win a war of attrition against Ukraine. At the same time, both the Kremlin and the Russians themselves are ready for any losses in order to continue the war.

  1. “This is more than the combined allocations for education, health care, social policy and economic support.”

Who in mafia land needs education, health care, social expenditures, or economic support? An entire nation is a slave for one sick dwarf’s wet dreams.
And, who’s to say that the economic data from mafia land are true? Chances are they are a complete lie and the portion of the mafia GDP being burned by the war spending is much higher.
