According to Masoud Pezeshkian, Tehran is “ready to sit down with Europeans and Americans for dialogue and negotiations.”

Iran’s new president, Masoud Pezeshkian, has sought talks with the West over Russia’s war against Ukraine, and he denies providing missiles to Moscow, which he condemned for “aggression” during the conflict. He said this during his participation in the UN General Assembly in New York, The Guardian reports .

“We are ready to sit down with Europeans and Americans for dialogue and negotiations. We have never approved Russian aggression against Ukrainian territory,” Pezeshkiyan said.

The publication reminds that earlier this month the USA accused Iran of transferring ballistic missiles to Russia for the war in Ukraine, Tehran denies these accusations.

“Pezeshkian, a reformist who was unexpectedly elected in July, made it clear that his government is ready to consider the possibility of resuming negotiations on its nuclear programs,” media reports.

He lied through his fake teeth about the missiles, so he’s lying through his fake teeth about wanting to negotiate. Until his actions start speaking, that is.
