On the morning of October 20, Russian occupiers launched a drone strike on Kyiv and its surroundings. This was reported by Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.

“Another blow from the enemy against civilians who were simply going to work, going about their business…” – wrote Tkachenko.

He added that cars are burning on the Kyiv-Odesa highway due to a Russian attack in the Fastiv district. He previously said that there were deaths and injuries as a result of the strike.

“Behind every such news are human lives, families, and pain. All emergency services are working on the scene. Traffic is limited. More detailed information will follow,” Tkachenko added.

According to local channels, on the way out of Kyiv in the Chabaniv area, a drone or its fragments fell directly on a car moving along the highway. It is also reported that after the UAV hit, the Odessa highway was blocked, which led to a large traffic jam towards the capital. Currently, patrol police are working at the scene, and the car is being turned back in the opposite direction.
