The US Vice President also spoke out against Ukraine’s membership in NATO.
Ukraine should not strike Russian oil refineries , US Vice President J.D. Vance said in an interview with 2WAY TONIGHT .
When asked by a journalist whether Ukraine is an ally of the United States, he said that it is a partner for America “in a certain sense.”

“But I think from time to time our interests do diverge. For example, do I think they should strike Russian diesel infrastructure, which increases the cost of energy for Americans? No,” the official said.
But, according to him, the United States has cooperated with Ukraine on some issues and, as he assured, will continue to cooperate.
“But, in my opinion, they should stop attacking Russian energy,” he added.
The US vice president also stated that Ukraine should not be in NATO:
“They’re not in NATO. I don’t think they should be in NATO. I think it’s a very respectable country, a beautiful country with a lot of wonderful people. We’ll work together on some issues, but on some other issues, our positions will be opposite,” Vance said.
