President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that after the “diesel deal,” Russia may offer the United States new economic agreements on gas, fertilizers, and frozen assets, seeking further easing of sanctions.

According to the president, the “diesel deal” opens up opportunities for Russia to take similar steps.
“These include fertilizers, gas, frozen assets, other names and structures from which sanctions may be lifted,” Zelensky explained.
He recalled that sanctions have already been lifted from Russian oligarchs close to Putin.
According to the president, energy resources are part of Russia’s offer.
“Russia understands that, unlike other countries in the world, they have such natural resources, capabilities, reserves, and such vertical management of all this that they can really offer America a kind of “economic marriage” – no matter how unfortunate it may sound,” he added.
At the same time, Zelensky believes that such a “marriage” is unlikely to be beneficial to the United States in the long term.
