Russia attacked Odessa: houses and Nova Poshta damaged in suburbs, some injured

Four people are currently known to have been injured.

This afternoon, the Russian occupation army attacked Odessa and the Odessa region with strike drones, causing damage to residential buildings and shops, and at least four people were injured.

As an UNIAN correspondent reports, the alarm was raised at around 12:10, warning the population that strike drones were heading towards the city. Soon, the buzzing of UAVs flying over residential buildings and shooting could be heard.

Subsequently, the head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper, stated that the enemy purposefully attacked the civilian infrastructure of the region with strike drones.

“In the Odessa district, residential buildings, a Nova Poshta branch, and a grocery store were damaged as a result of an enemy UAV hit. Several private cars caught fire. Unfortunately, four victims are currently known,” the official said.

According to him, information about the consequences of the attack is being clarified. All relevant services are working at the scene. The victims are being provided with the necessary assistance.Read also:

Kiper later released details about the victims. They are two men and two women, aged 38 to 65.

“Two of the injured are in serious condition, the others are in moderate condition. Medics are providing them with all necessary assistance,” he added.

Eyewitnesses report on social media that the attack caused fires, at least five cars to catch fire, the “Wine of the World” store was damaged, and black smoke was visible from afar.

Other attacks on Odessa

Late in the evening of May 25, the Russian army struck Odessa with a ballistic missile . The attack damaged an infrastructure facility, windows in an educational institution, and nearby residential buildings. One man was killed and three others were injured.

On the night of May 18, the Russian Federation attacked Odessa with a large number of strike drones – then more than 20 residential buildings were destroyed and damaged in the city. Two civilians were injured – a 59-year-old man and an 11-year-old boy. In the Kyiv and Primorsky districts of the regional center, three residential buildings were hit by UAVs.
