Fires and destruction have been recorded in many areas.

Last night, Russia massively attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones, the main blow falling on Kyiv and the Kyiv region . Fires broke out in many areas, there are casualties.

Updated 8:45 a.m. Vitali Klitschko reported that as a result of the attack on the capital, 5 ambulances that were responding to calls to the injured were damaged. According to current information, there are no injured doctors. 

Updated 8.20.  At this time, according to doctors, 23 people are known to have been injured in the enemy attack on the capital. 14 of them were hospitalized. The others were provided with outpatient care or on the spot. The Ministry of Internal Affairs also reported that a 10-year-old girl was among the injured.

Updated 7:45 AM. The State Emergency Service showed the consequences of the attack on the capital and provided details about the destruction.

In particular, in the Solomyanskyi district, the attack partially destroyed a 5-story building. A fire broke out on the roof of a 7-story building covering an area of ​​2,000 sq. m. There were also fires in a warehouse building, on the territory of a service station and a garage cooperative. Much civilian infrastructure was damaged.

A fire broke out in the Svyatoshynskyi district after a 14-story residential building was hit. Cars also caught fire.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, an uninhabited 8-story building was attacked by a UAV, causing damage to the 1st floor.

Footage of fires and heavy smoke in the streets is also being posted online, and city residents are being urged not to open their windows.

Updated 6.45. Vitaliy Klitschko reported that 19 residents of the capital have already been injured as a result of the enemy’s night attack. Five people are receiving outpatient care, 14 have been hospitalized.

Thus, the head of the Kyiv MVA Timur Tkachenko initially reported seven victims with injuries of varying degrees, including men and women aged 25 to 57.

However, the mayor of the capital, Vitali Klitschko, soon reported that 14 people had been injured in the enemy attack. Of these, 12 were hospitalized by doctors, and two were treated on the spot.

Falling debris was also recorded in many areas of Kyiv.

Thus, in the Dnipro district, UAV debris fell in the courtyards of residential buildings and on the territory of an educational institution. In Solomyansky , debris fell on non-residential buildings and on the territory of a garage cooperative, causing a fire. Warehouses and an administrative building were also on fire in this area.

In the Svyatoshynskyi district, debris from an enemy UAV fell into the territory of warehouses, causing a fire. Debris also fell into the courtyard of a 16-story residential building, where cars were burning. A fire also broke out in the private sector as a result of debris falling.

In the Darnytsia district, debris fell in several places in an open area.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, debris damaged an 8-story residential building that had been put into operation but, fortunately, was not occupied by residents. The fire occurred on the first floor of the building.

In addition, according to the State Emergency Service , as a result of the missile attack, the residential and industrial sectors of the Fastiv district of the Kyiv region suffered significant destruction and damage .

In particular, rescuers extinguished a fire on the roof of a high-rise building and a fire in 7 private garages. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries.

Russia’s attacks on Ukraine

As a reminder, on July 3, Russian terrorists struck the building of  the Poltava United City Territorial Center for Procurement  and Social Support (TCK and SP). As a result of the enemy attack, people were killed, and there were reports of injuries.

Also on the afternoon of July 3,  Russia attacked Odessa with cluster ballistics , resulting in the death of two people and the injury of three others.
