Vladimir Putin told US president Donald Trump that “Russia will continue to pursue its goals” in the war against Ukraine during a nearly hour-long phone call. According to Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov, President Trump pushed for a quick halt to the Ukraine war during the conversation, but the Russian president reiterated that Moscow would keep pushing to solve the conflict’s “root causes.”

“Trump once again emphasized the need to end military hostilities as soon as possible. Vladimir Putin noted that Russia continues to seek a political negotiated solution to the conflict,” Ushakov said.

As the world speculates about Trump’s stance after the call, former Ukrainian PM Arseniy Yatsenyuk joins Andrew Marr to discuss.

  1. The European Union, Canada and the United Kingdom stand by Ukraine.”

    Says it all doesn’t it?

    How long before Krasnov starts sending lethal weapons to putlerstan?

    We know now that China has taken the decision “not to allow russia to be defeated.”

    Maybe Krasnov already decided that too?

  2. Arseniy;

    “They’ve even got North Korea on their side. And not just North Korea, Iran supports Russia, China supports Russia.”

    “It’s not just an axis of evil, it’s a club of gangsters; of global terrorists, practically chaired by China.”

    And Krasnov’s regime votes with those gangsters in the UN.

    CRINKs to become CRINKUSA?
