Temporary traffic restrictions will be introduced in Kyiv and Kyiv region on April 26 due to official events with the participation of foreign delegations.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the State Protection Department (SPD).

Why are they restricting movement?

Temporary inconveniences for drivers and pedestrians are associated with security measures.

According to the legislation, the UDO provides state protection to heads of foreign states, governments, and international organizations who visit Ukraine on official or working visits.

Residents and guests of the capital are asked to take this information into account in advance when planning trips around the city and region.

Useful for drivers to know

As a reminder, it recently became known that Kyiv plans to increase tariffs for the evacuation of illegally parked cars. The initiative comes from private operator companies that transport vehicles to towing yards.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs also recently reminded of the rules for restoring documents. In particular, losing a driver’s license does not require retaking exams – the restoration procedure is currently as simplified as possible and is even available through the “Diya” application.

In addition, drivers were explained the peculiarities of driving during martial law. Currently, in Ukraine, it is allowed to use expired licenses, but this rule has certain limitations that you should be aware of in advance.

At the same time, the Council is considering changes to the procedure for obtaining licenses. These include the introduction of photo control during exams and the possibility of taking the theoretical part in foreign languages for citizens of other countries.
