On the morning of Saturday, April 25, British Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets took to the skies in Romania . This happened during the massive Russian attack on Ukraine, when Russian drones approached the Romanian border.

According to Politico , the British planes remained in Romanian airspace. The pilots had permission to use weapons on the Russian drones. However, the military did not open fire because the drones had not crossed the Romanian border.

It is known that wreckage of Russian drones was discovered on the territory of Romania. They fell on a farm in the town of Vacareni.

“Fighter jets tracked the drones as they flew over the Ukrainian port city of Reni, located 1.5 kilometers from the Romanian border. Contact with the drones was lost after the explosion. Authorities said they evacuated nearby residents and conducted a controlled destruction of hazardous materials,” the report said.

The Romanian Ministry of Defense “strongly condemned” Russia’s actions and stressed that such attacks “pose a new threat to regional security and stability in the Black Sea region.”

“Such incidents demonstrate the Russian Federation’s disregard for international law and pose a threat not only to the security of Romanian citizens, but also to the collective security of NATO,” the department added.

No casualties were reported on Romanian territory.

  1. Putler will be relieved that as long as he keeps his drones and missiles inside Ukraine, NATO will just sit back and watch while he kills children in the border regions.
