The Russian dictator expects the resumption of cooperation with the United States in various areas.

At a meeting in Saudi Arabia, Russia and the United States took the first step toward resuming bilateral cooperation in a variety of areas, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said, as quoted by Russian media.

In particular, he stated that he positively assessed the results of the talks in Riyadh. According to him, the meeting was “friendly”, and on the American side there were “completely different people” at the table – without bias and judgment. 

The dictator also stressed that Russia had allegedly never refused to negotiate on Ukraine and that Moscow was ready to return to the negotiating table. In particular, Putin said that he would “be happy” to meet with Trump, but the meeting “must be prepared.” In particular, the most important issues, including Ukraine, should be “worked out.” The dictator is not yet ready to say when such a meeting might take place.

At the same time, Putin stated that the negotiation process will take place with the participation of representatives from Kyiv, since no one is excluding Ukraine from this process.

According to him, during the meeting in Saudi Arabia, Moscow and Washington took the first steps to resume cooperation in the Middle East, including Syria and Palestine.

Putin also noted that the mutual expulsion of diplomats “does not lead to anything good,” so now the US and Russia intend to resume the normal work of diplomatic missions.
