The shelling killed 2 people and injured more than 20 others.

Iranian ballistic missiles struck the central headquarters of the Israel Defense Forces in Tel Aviv, the Israeli equivalent of the Pentagon.

As reported by a Fox News correspondent , one of the buildings in the complex was hit as a result of a direct hit, causing significant damage. 

The strike was part of a larger Iranian response to Israeli attacks on nuclear facilities and senior IRGC leadership. Despite active Israeli and American missile defense systems, including Iron Dome, David’s Sling, Arrow, Patriot, and THAAD, some missiles still made it to their targets.

“About 150 Iranian ballistic missiles were aimed at this country throughout the evening. They are targeting not only residential areas, but also military facilities,” the correspondent said.

He also said that as a result of the Iranian strikes, an entire neighborhood was almost completely destroyed, and rescue teams are searching for people under the rubble using thermal imaging cameras.

According to Israeli medical services , 2 people were killed and more than 20 were injured as a result of the shelling.

“As a result of a direct hit by a shell in the center of the country, two people were seriously injured and were eventually pronounced dead,” medics reported.

Extensive destruction of buildings and infrastructure is also reported.
