There is no hope that leaders at the G7 summit in Canada will agree to a reduction.
The United States opposes lowering the price ceiling for the sale of Russian oil , which is currently set at $60 per barrel, and is not backing down from this position.
Bloomberg writes about this , citing its sources, noting that this weakens Europe’s hopes that leaders at the Group of Seven summit in Canada will agree to a reduction.

“The final decision rests with President Donald Trump, and officials are not losing hope, the sources said. But, according to them, there has been no change yet in the position that the US outlined at the meeting of the Group of Seven finance ministers earlier this year,” the publication notes.
Recall that the European Union and the United Kingdom are seeking to lower the limit from the current $60 per barrel to $45 in order to put pressure on Russia’s oil revenues, which are important for it to continue the war against Ukraine.
At the same time, according to one of the sources, the EU and the UK may consider reducing the restriction without the participation of the US. Most of Russian oil is transported near European waters, so independent action may have some effect. At the same time, an agreement with the participation of all G-7 countries and with the support of the US would be more effective, Bloomberg emphasizes.

Why America has decided to become an ally of Russia……………………….????????
Lowering the price cap for mafia oil would be in our interest, too. But, as we constantly see, Taco doesn’t do anything for the sake of US interests. His only concern is himself and mafia land.
