Winston Churchill’s Desperate Call With Roosevelt | Darkest Hour
See comments section for proof of this old maxim
Winston Churchill (Gary Oldman) negotiates with the President of the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt, for aid during the Second World War.
In May 1940, the fate of World War II hangs on Winston Churchill, who must decide whether to negotiate with Adolf Hitler, or fight on knowing that it could mean the end of the British Empire.

Garry Oldman’s masterly portrayal of the great man in this painful and tragic clip demonstrates that the phrase “history doesn’t repeat itself, but it rhymes” means that while exact historical events do not happen twice in the exact same way, similar underlying patterns, human behaviors, and structural cycles reoccur across different eras.
In January 2022, Boris sent 2000 NLAWS to Ukraine, which almost certainly prevented a truly dreadful outcome to putler’s Feb 24, 2024 full scale invasion.
Germany sent a few helmets. Well, Woopie Do!
Biden sent nothing initially, but eventually got his arse in gear and weapons started flowing from mid March of that year.
Nothing in history predicted the arrival of a U.S. president with a murderous hatred of the victim country and no one could have imagined that said president would eventually come to the aid of the aggressor: a genocidal Nazi regime. But that’s where we find ourselves at present.
In Trump’s second term, Ukraine found itself in a similar position to the United Kingdom in 1939 : at war with two savage enemies and its biggest friend taking an isolationist position. But now of course the situation has worsened dramatically with Trump’s direct intervention on the side of an enemy that is as evil as the Third Reich.
Britain fought alone for two years. The U.S. was determined to stay out of it. FDR, a communist sympathizer, did send some 20 year old military junk to the U.K. He charged us for it too.
He only got involved when the axis powers declared war on him.
Daily Telegraph Letters to the Editor:
Donald Trump’s dealings with Russia confirm that he is unfit to lead :
SIR – The squalid deal struck by Donald Trump with Russia’s marauding Vladimir Putin (report, October 11) is contemptible. By channelling funds to Russia in the vain hope that he can avert a mid-term electoral setback he has betrayed Ukraine and helped bolster Russia’s brutal war.
It is President Trump’s incompetent handling of Iran which has driven up oil prices. Sadly, it is not Ukraine which is in need of new leadership; it is the United States of America.

SIR – In stating that the war in Ukraine should never have started, Donald Trump is correct. However, he is mistaken in blaming Volodymyr Zelensky.
In 1994, the UK, the Russian Federation and the US made the following commitments to Ukraine in return for dismantling the Ukrainian nuclear arsenal: to respect Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty and existing borders; to refrain from the threat or use of force against Ukraine; and to refrain from economic coercion designed to subordinate to their own interest the exercise by Ukraine of the rights inherent in its sovereignty.
By invading Ukrainian sovereign territory, Putin broke the commitment in 2014 and 2022.

America is an immensely powerful nation.
Eventually Ukraine will be forced to concede.
Unless the putler-rimmers currently in charge are forced out by the American people, a trumputler defeat of Ukraine is back on the cards.
Shaun Pinner :
Umar Kremlev is sanctioned by Ukraine and linked to Healthy Fatherland, run by his wife’s twin sister. Ukrainian intelligence accuses the group of involvement in abducting and forcibly deporting Ukrainian children under the guise of “rehabilitation”.
This is the US Presidents son, unbelievable frankly. These are children.

Joni Askola :
Ukraine has agreed to all of Trump’s unconditional ceasefire proposals, while Russia has agreed to none. Russia is the side that does not want peace.
Marijn Marcus just now :
Technically, the explosives factory is still producing explosions!
🔥 One of russia’s largest ammonia producers is on fire. Novomoskovsk Azot. Tula region. russia.
Ukraine’s long-range sanctions are heating up.
The acetic and nitric acid produced at the plant are used to manufacture HMX and RDX, which, in turn, are used for artillery shells.
And now they can’t supply russia’s war machines any more.

“I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THIS”: VIRGIN GROUP FOUNDER RICHARD BRANSON ISSUES A POWERFUL STATEMENT SUPPORTING UKRAINE 🇬🇧🇺🇦
British billionaire, philanthropist, and Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson has reportedly published an unusually forceful statement on LinkedIn.
Branson, whose business empire includes Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Galactic, and hundreds of other companies, reportedly directed his message at international business leaders, investors, and European governments.
FULL TEXT OF THE STATEMENT ATTRIBUTED TO RICHARD BRANSON:
“I never thought I would have to say this in my lifetime, but it is 2026, and the Trump administration has become an appeaser of autocrats and dictators.
What is it about Putin that makes President Trump so eager to please him? The slowing and restricting of Starlink/Starshield operations, along with the inexplicable failure to provide advance warnings of Russian missile launches, have already resulted in Ukrainian civilians dying needlessly. How much worse can this get?
The one thing that has become absolutely clear is that European leaders must overcome their initial shock at Trump’s actions and take the initiative themselves.
Both Europe’s freedom and Ukraine’s sovereignty are at stake. Our responsibility is to ensure that the free world is not destroyed before our very eyes.”
A WARNING FROM A GLOBAL BUSINESS LEADER
As the founder of Virgin Group, Branson is sending a message to the international corporate community: remaining silent about the appeasement of autocrats is no longer acceptable when global stability and security are at risk.
A DIRECT CALL FOR EUROPE TO TAKE THE LEAD
The central message attributed to Branson is that European governments and business leaders must stop relying on the unpredictable policies of the White House.
European countries must take greater responsibility for providing decisive military and financial assistance to Ukraine, investing in their own defense industries, and protecting democratic values.
A LONG-STANDING SUPPORTER OF UKRAINE
Sir Richard Branson was among the prominent international business figures who personally visited Ukraine after Russia launched its full-scale invasion.
He is also an official ambassador of UNITED24, Ukraine’s fundraising platform.
This LinkedIn statement would represent another significant intervention by Branson in support of Ukraine and an appeal to the global business community to defend European security and Ukrainian sovereignty.
Joni Askola :
Ukraine must hold maximalist demands and avoid Russia’s classic trap: making outrageous demands while refusing to compromise, forcing the other side to make concessions and give Russia more than it deserves. Russia doesn’t deserve to get anything.
Jake Broe :
People often ask me “Who are the 29% of Americans who still support Trump?”
It is people like this lady. They are all really dumb and there are tens of millions of them in America.

That is a jaw-dropping and so tragic video from Jake.
You can guarantee that the evil old skank in the video is an avid watcher of magaputler media outlets Gateway Pundit, Breitbart, Infowars, Carlson or all four.
Red Square sticks the words “social media” on anything I might post that might contain criticism of traitor Krasnov.
Oddly YouTube, like WP, is indeed social media, but only my YouTube posts get this bolt-on.
I now exclusively post pieces from Substack, LI, FB, YouTube. Exceptions are private websites like Brendochka.
I will post shortly from Gen. Zaluzhnyi, whose main outlet is LI. Although the last post of his that I republished was also slurred with “social media”, even though It was actually from Ukrainska Pravda; a Ukrainian news outlet that, like all Ukrainian news outlets, is understandably critical of Krasnov.
