Production lines for assembling drones were located in the workshops of the Kaluga Aerated Concrete plant.
Long-range attack drones of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine struck a UAV production site in the village of Obukhovo in the Dzerzhinsky district of the Kaluga region the night before. As UNIAN’s intelligence sources reported, the production lines for assembling the drones were located in the workshops of the Kaluga Gas Concrete plant.

According to the source, local residents were the first to report the powerful explosions and fire at the plant on social networks: “it was just some kind of hell,” “there were two really big bangs,” “the plant went boom.”
Eyewitnesses even managed to record and post in publics the video of the impact and a strong fire on the territory of the plant. Kaluga publics, together with the distribution of the video from the scene, reported the fall of debris and the fire in the “buildings of the industrial enterprise”.
“Due to the UAV attack at the Kaluga airport, the “Carpet” plan was introduced – all flights were cancelled from 9 p.m. on March 12 until 6 a.m. on March 13. The governor of the Kaluga region confirmed in the morning the night attack of drones on the region, hitting an industrial enterprise, communications and energy infrastructure facility,” the source reported.
