Germany supported the creation of a broad international program for the reconstruction of Ukraine after the end of Russia’s aggressive war.

This was stated by German Finance Minister Christian Lindner during the debate in the Bundestag, Deutsche Welle reported with reference to AFP.

“Our solidarity with our European neighbor will last a long time. That is why we need an international Marshall Plan for Ukraine,” the minister said.

He noted that Germany has already provided “comprehensive assistance” to Ukraine.

“Our support for the struggle of the people (of Ukraine, – ed.) For freedom will also continue there.” But when peace reigns in Ukraine, “we will still be there to support reconstruction, work for a good future and the path to partnership with the EU,” the German finance minister said.
