Putin expected to capture Ukraine in three days. This was confirmed by Western military experts, and the documents of the enemies, and the reports of captured Russians . However, the plans of the President of the Russian Federation crashed against the courageous and professional defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Now Putin has set new terms for “victory” for the command of the Russian army. The head of the Russian Federation ordered to achieve the set goals from April 21 to May 7.

During the discussion of the current situation at the front, we talked about the losses of Russian troops, and Gerasimov described the losses as “substantial.” Putin interrupted Gerasimov and continued by saying that these were tolerable losses and nothing compared to the goals that would be achieved after the victory.”
“Putin limited the new terms of the ‘victory’ to April 21-May 7, it is by these dates that he plans to force the Ukrainian leadership to sign an agreement that can be presented as surrender and hold a victory parade on May 9,” continued Anton Gerashchenko.

What Putin loses in Ukraine are irreplaceable. If he thinks the losses are tolerable, he’s a bigger fool than I thought.
lt. Gen Keane (retired) thinks Russia will grind this out. The longer it goes, the more confidence I have in Ukrainian victory. If, indeed, there is pressure on the entire western flank of the northwestern thrust toward Kyiv, then Russia is in deep trouble. Serious western aid is reaching the troops and it will turned to good use.
There are two things I see coming out of this fight. First, the day of close air support is over. MANPADS are simply too effective. Second, the day of the main Battle Tank is also over. There is only so much that can be done to armor a tank, and one of the limits is how thick you can make the top of the turret. Putting too much weight there can destabilize the vehicle.
Regardless, I want Ukraine to win this and I want a crushing victory so that resounds down the centuries of military history, and to the deep disgrace of Sad Vlad.
