The joint production is already in its final stages.

Finland is close to concluding an agreement on the joint production of drones from Ukraine, where the vast majority of the manufactured weapons will go to the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

As reported by RBC-Ukraine , Finnish President Alexander Stubb stated this during the Ukraine-Nordic-Baltic Eight summit in Kyiv.

Details of the drone production agreement

Finnish and Ukrainian companies are already concluding de facto agreements to launch joint capacities.

Production is expected to be based on a fragmented collaborative arrangement reminiscent of the Danish model.

“I’m eagerly awaiting the results, but it seems one of the companies has already announced a figure for the number of drones that could be produced in Finland, and I think the agreement will be something like a 90/10 ratio. So, 90% of the production goes to Ukraine, and 10% remains in Finland,” noted Alexander Stubb.

The Finnish President emphasized that the agreements are in their final stages and only a few minor changes remain to be made.

According to him, the partnership will be mutually beneficial for both countries.

Regarding the Drone Deal

Stubb emphasized that European and American partners must change their perception of military and technological support for Kyiv.

“I think many Europeans, and Americans for that matter, need to get rid of the notion that we’re doing some kind of charity for Ukraine. Perhaps that was the case at first. But now we can learn more from Ukraine than Ukraine learns from us,” the Finnish leader concluded.

Joint arms production with Finland

Let us recall that Ukraine and Finland are launching joint production of military equipment and weapons .

The countries agreed to develop and manufacture unmanned aerial vehicles for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Europe, develop unmanned naval systems, and establish a joint venture to produce ground-based robotic systems.

Top managers from seven leading Finnish companies have already arrived in Kyiv to implement these agreements.

At the same time, Ukraine continues diplomatic work to end the war.

In particular, Kyiv, together with its international partners, has developed three key proposals to end Russian aggression, which have already been agreed upon with the American and European sides.
