In Russia, they are engaged in profanation instead of secrecy.

Russian marketplace Ozon tried to protect its warehouses from Ukrainian attacks by removing their addresses from the public domain, the Russian publication “Vot Tak” reports .

Journalists noticed that the addresses of 56 warehouse complexes had disappeared from the “Knowledge Base” section on the marketplace’s website. At the same time, detailed information about the company’s four foreign logistics centers – in Astana, Almaty, Minsk, and Yerevan – remained available.

Previously, the maps of Russian warehouses showed the actual and legal addresses, coordinates in Yandex Maps, and directions. Now this data has disappeared from them, although the names of the warehouses, opening hours, details, and contact information remain.

The exact date of this change is unknown. At the same time, “Vot Tak” found a message from August 3 in the profile chat “Ozon FBO: help with deliveries”. One of the users then reported the disappearance of warehouse and sorting center addresses. The Ozon support service explained this by updating the information in the help section. Now, according to the company, exact addresses and routes are provided to sellers individually – through their personal account when registering a delivery or by contacting technical support.

The publication notes that on July 21, the same user posted the address of the Ozon warehouse in Vnukovo in a chat and noted that he took it from the “Knowledge Base”. This indicates that the location of the Russian logistics centers remained open at least until the end of July.

At the same time, the chronology of events draws attention to the fact that the addresses of these warehouses disappeared from public access even before the first attacks on Ozon’s logistics facilities. However, such “secrecy” did not protect against Ukrainian drones.
