The U.S. president acknowledged the possibility of impeachment if the Republicans lose the election.
U.S. President Donald Trump said that Democrats could launch impeachment proceedings against him if Republicans lose their majority in Congress in the 2026 midterm elections, according to The Hill.
“They’re going to impeach me. They’re going to impeach me. They have no idea why,” he said while speaking to supporters in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Donald Trump had already been the subject of impeachment proceedings twice during his first presidential term. In December 2019, the U.S. House of Representatives impeached him on charges related to the withholding of military aid to Ukraine.
In January 2021, the House of Representatives impeached Trump again following the events of January 6 at the Capitol. He became the first U.S. president to be impeached twice.
In both cases, the U.S. Senate failed to secure the necessary number of votes to convict Trump, so he remained in office. Following the first impeachment in February 2020, senators considered the charges. Neither proceeding resulted in his removal from office.
On November 3, 2026, the United States will hold midterm congressional elections. Americans will elect the entire House of Representatives (435 seats) and one-third of the U.S. Senate. The election will take place midway through Donald Trump’s presidential term and will determine whether the Republicans will retain control of the nation’s legislature.

The best case scenario for November is a Democratic majority in both houses of Congress, and a Trump in prison after impeachment and a trial for treason and other crimes, and to make Supreme Court judges and former GOP creeps in Congress pay for abusing our laws for the sake of the worst president in U.S. history.
Yawn. He’s begging for votes, nothing else. It would require an absolute majority to impeach a sitting president, which is unlikely no matter who wins the mid-terms in November.
Its actually more challenging than an absolute majority, it’s 2/3rds, 67/100, a supermajority, but it’s still very possible. If republicans lose their majority in the senate, then all that is needed is maybe 15, maybe less, Republican senators to see the writing on the wall, abandon lame duck trump, and cut a dirty, lowdown, back-room deal with dirty, lowdown, backstabbing vancekov. It absolutely can happen.
There’s no doubt trump will be impeached in the house. There’s a whole collection of viable charges: war crimes, profiteering, market manipulation, epstein. Take your choice. They have enough to impeach him once per month until the end of 2028.
He would have been convicted in his previous impeachments had republican senators followed the Constitution.
Recall what they said previously:
Mitch McConnell has said that he intends to work in “total coordination” with the White House and that “I’m going to take my cues from the president’s lawyers.” He adds: “There’s no chance the president will be removed from office.”
Lindsey Graham is, if you can believe it, even less subtle. “I am trying to give a pretty clear signal I have made up my mind,” he said over the weekend at Doha Forum in Qatar. “I’m not trying to pretend to be a fair juror here . . . I will do everything I can to make it die quickly.”
It is impossible for McConnell and Graham to square those public comments with the oath that senators are required to take at the opening of the Senate’s impeachment trial: “I solemnly swear … that in all things appertaining to the trial of the impeachment of Donald J. Trump, now pending, I will do impartial justice according to the Constitution and laws: So help me God.”
The majority leader of the Senate and a top Republican have literally said that they intend to violate their oath as judges/jurors.
That’s why I also want those treasonous Congressmen to be prosecuted and thrown in prison.
To be honest, Trump is not a “draft dodger” per se. Cowardly, yet, but what he did to stay out was legal. Don’t believe hard left propaganda and think for yourself. Its really easy and is more fun than remembering talking points 🙂

Deferments based on being in school are legitimate. But I think his rich daddy getting him a deferment because of “bone spurs in his heels” – while he was a varsity athlete – counts as “draft dodging”.
It was draft dodging not matter how much you want to defend that sack of crap. Millions of Americans see him as one, only his low-IQed expendable minions think otherwise.
