On the night of July 14, drones attacked the Gazpromneftekhim Salavat oil refinery (refinery) in the city of Salavat (Bashkortostan).
Witnesses reported a series of explosions in the city. Photos and videos posted online showed plumes of smoke rising from the refinery.

As the BBC reported , Gazpromneftekhim Salavat is one of the largest petrochemical complexes in Russia. According to some reports, in 2024 the refinery processed 7.2 million tons of crude oil, which is 2.7% of the total volume of Russian oil refining.
In September 2025, the Salavat refinery was hit twice by Ukrainian drones, but according to local authorities, the attacks allegedly did not affect the plant’s operations.
In addition to the Salavat oil refinery, drones attacked facilities in the occupied Luhansk and Donetsk regions. In particular, explosions were heard in temporarily occupied Luhansk at night. A parking lot with Russian logistics vehicles may have been hit.
And in Donetsk, according to monitoring channels, there were strikes on enemy ammunition depots.
The Afipsky refinery in the Kuban was also hit again. A fire broke out there as a result of a drone attack. The Afipsky refinery is one of the largest oil refining enterprises in southern Russia. Its design capacity is 6.25 million tons of oil per year.
