Ukrainian drones attacked refinery in russian Salavat setting it ablaze

Ukrainian drones visited the remote republic of Bashkortostan (Russia). The Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat oil refinery was again under attack. Explosions were heard in the city and a fire was later recorded at the refinery.

Footage of black smoke over Salavat and the fire was published early in the morning by the Telegram channel “Exilenova+”.

Attack details

As noted, the drone attack hit an oil facility in the city of Salavat, which is located 1,400 km from Ukraine. Local residents wrote about numerous arrivals and actively published photos and videos of the results of the strike.

After several hits, a large-scale fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise and thick black smoke was visible, rising high above the plant territory.

At 05:00 in the morning, Rosaviatsia introduced temporary restrictions on the reception and release of aircraft at Ufa airport.

What is known about the attacked object?

Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat is one of the largest petrochemical enterprises in Russia , providing a full cycle of hydrocarbon processing – from oil and gas to finished products.

The company produces about 150 types of products , including motor gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, road bitumen, sulfur, various types of polyethylene, ethylene, styrene, ammonia, urea, butyl alcohols and other chemical products. The products are supplied throughout Russia and are also exported to other countries.

The company’s structure includes three main production sites – an oil refinery, a gas chemical plant and a “Monomer” plant, which are located in the city of Salavat. The company also includes the Novo-Salavatskaya PGU enterprise, which ensures the operation of the production complex.

OBOZ.UA previously reported that on September 24, 2025, drones attacked a refinery in Salavat, Russia.  The strike likely damaged ELOU-AVT-6, a facility designed to process 6 million tons of raw materials per year.

The SBU carried out  a previous strike on the same facility  on September 18. Then the ELOU-AVT-4 oil refining facility was hit.
