On the night of July 14, 2026, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out another attack using strike drones on the Afipsky oil refinery, located in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation. The first explosions in the area of the village of Afipsky occurred around midnight.
As a result of the drone strike, a massive fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise. This is reported by monitoring Telegram channels.
Results of the operation
The fire was recorded in the immediate vicinity of the refinery’s tank farm. According to preliminary data, part of the technological equipment was damaged.
The operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory and the district leadership are avoiding statements about the attack. There have been no official comments from the governor or head of the district regarding the strike and fire at the tank farm.
Meanwhile, local chat rooms were filled with reports of multiple explosions throughout the night. The Russians also confirmed that a large fire was raging in the area of the refinery.

Afipsky Refinery is one of the largest oil refining enterprises in the south of the Russian Federation with a design processing capacity of about 6.25 million tons of oil per year (which is more than 2% of the all-Russian capacity).
The plant is of strategic importance as it processes raw materials from Western Siberia and the Volga-Ural deposits, producing gasoline, diesel fuel, and vacuum gas oil.
A significant part of this production is used to supply the Russian army and ensure military logistics in the southern direction.
Previously, OBOZ.UA reported that Ukraine continues to strike military and energy facilities on Russian territory, in particular oil refining infrastructure.
As OBOZ.UA wrote, the day before it became known that on the night of July 11, the Defense Forces hit 20 Russian tankers. At the same time, three ports stopped receiving grain.
