At dawn on June 17, the Russian occupation army launched a massive drone strike on Odessa . There was a lot of destruction in the city, there were dead and wounded, including a child.

Updated 9:00 AM. According to the head of the Odessa Regional State Administration, Oleg Kiper , 17 people were injured in the Russian morning attack, including a pregnant woman and a 17-year-old girl. One person was hospitalized, while the others, after receiving medical care, are continuing their treatment on an outpatient basis. 

“Unfortunately, the body of a 60-year-old woman was found under the rubble. The search for another woman is currently ongoing. We hope that rescuers will find her alive,” he said.

As UNIAN correspondent reports, air alert in Odessa and the region was declared at 01.28. After some time, monitoring channels reported that enemy drones were approaching the region from the Black Sea.

UAVs were observed in particular in various areas of the regional center, strike drones moved over Odessa at low altitudes, only 100 meters were recorded. Soon, explosions began in the city, fires broke out.

Later, the head of the Odessa Regional Autonomous Administration, Oleg Kiper, reported that at dawn the enemy massively attacked the regional center with attack drones.

“Despite the active work of our air defense fighters, there is destruction, fires, and damage to civilian infrastructure in the city, including residential buildings, an inclusive center, a preschool, garages, etc. There are victims,” ​​the official said.

According to preliminary data, at least five people were injured, including a child. Later, he clarified that as of 6:30 a.m., 13 people had been hospitalized. People may be trapped under the rubble.

Updated 7.32.  The mayor of the city, Gennady Trukhanov, emphasized that in the inclusive center destroyed by the Russians, they worked with children with special psychophysical development, and they conducted canisterapy there (a type of therapy with animals, a method of treatment and rehabilitation using specially selected and trained dogs). The mayor clarified that no one was injured in the inclusive center. The building of a kindergarten located nearby was also damaged. Significant destruction in the historical part of the city: houses are damaged, and fires are still being extinguished at some addresses.

There was significant destruction in the city, roofs were torn off some houses, cars were damaged, etc. Local residents, despite the danger, saved their pets. Russia’s attacks

As UNIAN reported, the Russian army launched a massive attack on Ukraine at night, using kamikaze drones and missiles of various types. In particular, at least 18 residents were injured in Kyiv , and the dormitory of the Kyiv Aviation Institute was damaged. 

A high-rise building in the Solomyanskyi district was also destroyed, and there may be people under the rubble.
