Russian officials and propagandists continue to demonstrate their own understanding of the concept of “population protection”, which increasingly boils down to calls to destroy entire cities along with their inhabitants.

As Censor.NET reports , another similar statement was made by Russian State Duma deputy Alexei Zhuravlev during an airing of one of the Russian propaganda TV channels.

During the discussion about Donbas, a Russian parliamentarian proposed his own invented method of “salvation.”

According to Zhuravlev, he would simply destroy Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, and Druzhkivka.

When asked by the host whether he was also referring to the civilian population of these cities, the deputy answered briefly and without any hesitation: “I would destroy everything! Together with the people? Absolutely!”

Thus, the representative of the Russian government effectively admitted that in his understanding, “defense of Donbas” involves the elimination of not only settlements, but also the people who live there.
