Specialists have already begun priority restoration work at the sites that were attacked.
On the night of October 14, Russia attacked all three Kyiv thermal power plants and critical facilities in the Kyiv region that supply electricity to the capital and central regions. Power facilities in the Kharkiv region were also hit, Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky reported on his Telegram channel.
“Russian ballistic missiles targeted power grid facilities in Kyiv, Kharkiv, and the surrounding region. All three of the city’s thermal power plants were attacked in the capital. The enemy also struck critical facilities in the Kyiv region that supply power to the capital and the central regions,” the statement reads.
According to the Prime Minister, railway facilities in five regions were attacked, but thanks to timely evacuation, no one was injured. Restoration work is ongoing.
“Power engineers and rescuers have been working at the sites of the nighttime attack since early this morning. Firefighting and debris removal are ongoing. Specialists have already begun emergency restoration work at the affected facilities,” Koretsky added.
