Bloomberg: Akhmetov bought a 21-room apartment in Monaco for $554 million

Rinat Akhmetov, Ukraine’s richest businessman, has acquired a luxurious five-level apartment in Monaco for $554 million. This deal could become one of the largest individual residential property sales in the world. This was reported by Bloomberg, according to UNN.

Details

The property in question is a 21-room residence on the coast in the Mareterra district – a new quarter of the principality built on reclaimed land. The district was opened in 2024 with the participation of Prince Albert II and has already become popular among ultra-wealthy investors.

The apartment is located in the flagship Le Renzo building and occupies approximately 2,500 square meters, excluding balconies and terraces with views of the Mediterranean Sea. The residence features a private pool, a jacuzzi, and at least eight parking spaces.

According to the publication, the deal was finalized in 2024. The information is contained in Monaco’s real estate registries, as well as in a trove of emails and preliminary ownership documents.

Akhmetov’s holding company, SCM, confirmed the investment in this project but declined to comment on the details regarding the specific property and its value.

SCM’s international investment portfolio has included a separate portfolio of premium real estate for over ten years. Among its assets is the Le Renzo project, in which we invested in the primary market in 2021.

Bloomberg notes that the stated amount exceeds other known record deals in the housing market, including the sale of an estate in London for more than $350 million and a penthouse in New York for approximately $240 million.

  1. Nice place to live if you have the money, but as long as he supports Ukraine I don’t care where he lives.

Akhmetov is the largest donor to the United Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to a study by the Ukrainian publication of the NV, in April 2025, the largest donor among business groups in Ukraine was Akhmetov’s SCM Group. As of October 2025, sum of aid makes more than $350 million.

    • He may have lost half of his businesses to occupier vermin.
The ones in Donbas were simply handed over to putinaZi oligarchs.
An example of the plague of thieving unleashed by the savages.
All must return to its rightful owners.
And Ukraine must somehow do this with a hateful putinoid regime in the WH; aka Kremlin West.
