One of the reasons why US President Joe Biden does not provide full military aid to Ukraine is that he is afraid of the collapse of Russia, writes “Dzerkalo Tyzhny” with reference to sources.
“Within the limits of presidential arms transfer (PDA) powers, Biden could have long ago provided Ukraine with the necessary weapons that would strategically improve the situation on the battlefield, but the White House consistently ignores this possibility,” the publication notes.
According to sources, Washington is guided by several military-technical and political motives. At the same time, it is noted that the risk of the war expanding to the territory of NATO countries or the nuclear threat are not the main ones.
The following motives are indicated:
- politicians and the US military fear that the excessive transfer of equipment and ammunition to Ukraine may deplete the Pentagon’s reserves, and the US may be unprepared for conflicts in other parts of the world, for example, in the Indo-Pacific region or the Middle East;
- the political tradition of the USA assumes that decisions that could “tie the hands” of the future head of state are not made before the presidential elections;
- Washington still adheres to the 2022 strategy, according to which the war should continue only on the territory of Ukraine;
- the Biden administration is afraid of the possible collapse of Russia as a result of the victory of Ukraine, in particular, in Washington they do not want to allow China to return the “primitive territories” annexed by the Russian Federation in the twentieth century.
The publication added that Biden adheres to a view of Russia formed back in the 1970s, when the USSR was a strong adversary that the US tried not to irritate.

It’s the same attitude all the US Presidents beginning with Bush1 in 1988. They’ve been cowards ever since where it came to Russia. Sure put 8 trillion dollars in a country (Afghanistan) that didn’t want any part of the US and exclude a country fighting for its freedom, democracy and the basic right to choose. I’m ashamed I’m a US citizen.

That’s far from a “fact”. At least President Biden is on the side of Ukraine, while putler’s puppet trumpkov is on the side of russia. It’s been well documented that trumpkov hates Ukraine – blaming Ukraine for his first impeachment, in addition to having had his mind poisoned against Ukraine by his former campaign manager, Paul Manafort.
How can you be on the side of someone you don’t want to win? Did MSNBC give you the answer to that one?
President Biden is providing aid to Ukraine; trumpkov would force Ukraine to give up territory or he’d cut off all aid.

Everyone has opinions but that is all they are. Besides, Trump opened the door for military aid to Ukraine with the approval of the Javelins. You should remember that.
I remember that the Ukrainians could not actually use the Javelins in the conflict against pro-Russian separatists based on the terms of the sale. The Javelins had to be stored in western Ukraine, which is far from the frontlines.
I also remember that trumpkov was actually reluctant to sell the missiles to Ukraine and did so only after he was persuaded it would be good for US business.

Of course Ukraine cannot defeat RuSSia, but a total ukrainian defeat is also a defeat of the United States and Nato. The support for Ukraine so far can be considered half-assed and laughable.
